How to Prepare Yummy Yummy Hyderabad Biryani 😋😋 Let's see the Incredients in this Blog 👀

 



Ingredients:

  • For Marination:

    • 500g chicken or mutton (bone-in pieces)
    • 1 cup yogurt
    • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    • 2-3 green chilies, slit
    • 1 tablespoon red chili powder
    • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
    • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
    • 1 tablespoon garam masala
    • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
    • Fresh coriander and mint leaves (a handful each)
    • Salt to taste
  • For Rice:

    • 2 cups Basmati rice
    • 4 cups water
    • 1 cinnamon stick
    • 2-3 cloves
    • 2-3 cardamom pods
    • 1 bay leaf
    • Salt to taste
  • For Cooking:

    • 2 medium onions, thinly sliced
    • 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
    • 2 tablespoons oil
    • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
    • A pinch of saffron (soaked in warm milk)
    • Fresh coriander and mint leaves for garnish

Instructions:


Marinate the Meat:

  • In a bowl, mix chicken/mutton with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, red chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, garam masala, lemon juice, mint, and coriander. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for more flavor.

Prepare the Rice
:

  • Wash the basmati rice thoroughly. Boil water in a large pot, add the cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaf, and salt. Add the rice and cook until it's 70-80% done (about 8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.

Cook the Biryani
:

  • In a large, heavy-bottomed pot, heat oil and ghee. Fry sliced onions until golden brown and remove half for garnishing. In the same pot, add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes. Add the marinated meat and cook on medium heat until the meat is browned and partially cooked.

Layer the Biryani
:

  • Spread the cooked rice over the meat. Drizzle saffron milk over the rice and garnish with fried onions, fresh mint, and coriander leaves.

Dum Cooking
:

  • Seal the pot with dough or a tight lid. Cook on low heat (dum) for 25-30 minutes. Let it rest for 10 minutes before opening.
Serve:

Gently fluff the biryani and serve with raita or a side salad.
